Diona Potter

Our business is law. Our service is peace of mind.”

For Diona Potter, that’s not just a slogan.  It’s her approach to practicing law.  Diona knows that being a good attorney is more than just knowing the law, “It’s about taking care of the clients.”

Diona was valedictorian of her graduating class at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.  She was also a Senior Staff Member of John Marshall’s inaugural Law Journal, and her published article, Reasonableness Found: Supermajority Sentencing in Georgia Death Penalty Cases, considered the constitutional ramifications to an overhaul of the penal punishment phase in Georgia.  But, with Diona, there’s more to her than just exceptional knowledge of the law.

“Generally, nobody hires an attorney for fun; more often than not, people consult an attorney because they are dealing with unfortunate events in their life.”

Whether the client’s issue is an uncontested divorce or a major felony, Diona understands just how important that issue is in the client’s world.  Often, it is the first time a person has sought legal representation, and they are nervous and confused.  Diona’s approach is to patiently guide her clients through their issues, working hard to reach a resolution as efficiently and painlessly as possible.

Diona is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and Atlanta Women in Business.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her husband.
