GLBT Issues

Live. Love. Share.

The sad reality is that the law in Georgia, as it currently stands, does not protect gay and lesbian couples the same as it does heterosexual couples.  But with a little bit of planning you can protect yourself, your partner, and your relationship.  Proper legal planning can be as simple as putting documents in place to define the parameters of your relationship, articulate your wishes, and give your partner, or whomever you want, the authority to act on your behalf if you are unable to do so.  Ensure your legal rights as a couple, because the law doesn’t automatically do it for you.

A little life planning goes a long way toward peace of mind.
